PARADE

April 14-29, 2017
Norman Rothstein Theatre, 950 West 41st Avenue
TICKETS: $25-40 at www.fightingchanceproductions.ca

Book by Alfred Uhry, Music & Lyrics by Jason Robert Brown

With permission from Music Theatre International

In 1913, Leo Frank, a Brooklyn-raised Jew living in Georgia, is put on trial for the murder of 13 year old Mary Phagan, a factory worker under his employ. Already guilty in the eyes of everyone around him, a sensationalist publisher and a janitor’s false testimony seal Leo’s fate. His only defenders are a governor with a conscience, and, eventually, his assimilated Southern wife who finds the strength to love and to become his greatest champion. Daring, innovative and bold, PARADE is filled with soaring music and a heart-wrenching story, offering a moral lesson about the dangers of prejudice and ignorance that should not be forgotten.

Starring Steven Greenfield* (Leo Frank) and Advah Soudack (Lucille Frank) and featuring Sean Anthony (Hugh Dorsey), Kaden Chad (Officer Ivey), Karliana DeWolff (Ensemble), Colton Fyfe (Young Confederate Soldier), Rachel Garnet (Monteen), Raymond Hatton (Luther Z Rosser), Jagen Johnson (New Lee), Debbie Kay (Ensemble), Kaila Kask (Mary Phagan), JP McLean (Brit Craig), Steve Mulligan (Tom Watson), Steve Oben (Gov. John Slaton), Janelle Reid (Minola McKnight), Lucy Sim (Ensemble), Peter Slade (Old Confederate Soldier/Judge Roan), Emily Smith (Essie), Keri Smith (Ensemble), Tiana Swan (Angela), William Tippery (Frankie Epps), and Tristin Wayte (Mrs Phagan).
